  1. Entry closing date is for submission of entry forms only, and not for submission of exhibits.
     

  2. Entries may be made only in those divisions and classes appearing in this Competitors guide. The management reserves the right to refuse exhibits entered in violation of Local and State Rules. A copy of the state rules may be obtained at the fair office at 11995 Olive Lake Blvd., Blythe, CA 92225.
     

  3. Entries will be accepted upon the distribution of the Exhibitor's Handbook.
     

  4. ENTRIES CLOSE, MONDAY, MARCH 13, 2000, 5:00 p.m. The Fair Office must receive entries by that time. No late entries will be accepted.
     

  5. Entries must be made on forms furnished by the Fair and can be obtained from the Fair Office in writing or in person from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Copies are accepted.

    ENTRY FORMS MUST BE PROPERLY FILLED OUT AND RETURNED TO: Colorado River Country Fair, 11995 Olive Lake Blvd., Blythe, CA 92225. Special attention must be given to filling out the entry forms correctly. Check your division and class numbers carefully against the Premium List. Incorrect or incomplete division or class numbers on entry forms may lead to disqualification. It is the exhibitor's responsibility to make sure entry forms are correct. Exhibitor's name, complete address, date and entrant's handwritten signature must be clearly shown on each entry form. If in doubt, call the fair office (760) 922-3247. NOTE: EXHIBITS THEMSELVES ARE TO BE DELIVERED ACCORDING TO SCHEDULES IN EACH CATEGORY.
     

  6. Presentation of completed entry form (including signature) shall be deemed acceptance of all rules both local and state. Acceptance includes permission to use your name, photograph and entry in publicizing the Fair.
     

  7. Any entry, which, in the opinion of the fair management, is offensive to the public, will not be displayed.
     

  8. Professionals are classified as persons who engage in an event or activity for monetary profit. (Teacher included.)
     

  9. Semi-Professionals are classified as persons who gain less than $1,000 profit during a year's time for sale of their craft of food product.
     

  10. Amateurs are classified as persons who have received no monetary profit from their craft.
     

  11. Entry forms must have the signature of the exhibitor, if entering in Adult Divisions or by the leader, agriculture instructor, and parent/guardian if entering in Junior Divisions before the Fair Office will accept them.
     

  12. RECLAIMING EXHIBITS: Exhibitors may not remove exhibits before the close of the fair. Exhibits may be reclaimed at the Jaycee Community Building only between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 17, 2000. You or your representative must present your claim check. Early removal will result in forfeiture of awards and the privilege of entering subsequent fairs. The security of any items left after that time is not guaranteed. All exhibits and exhibit material not removed by specified date and time will become property of the Fair. The Fair will not be responsible for entries/exhibits left after specified date. You must have your claim check to pick up your exhibits. Management must approve any exception.
     

  13. NUMBERS OF ENTRIES PERMITTED: Except where otherwise noted, Exhibitors may make TWO entries per class and THREE entries in "any other" classes.
     

  14. NAME ON EXHIBITS: Where exhibitor's names appear on exhibits, they will be carefully masked out during judging procedures.
     

  15. JUDGING AND JUDGING SYSTEMS: All judging will be done in private with no spectators.
     

  16. PREMIUM AWARDS IN ALL DEPARTMENTS WILL BE AS FOLLOWS:
     

    (a)  First (Blue), Second (Red), Third (White) place ribbons may be awarded in each Class or division for Senior and Junior.

    (b)  Sweepstakes Ribbon or Plaque and Cash Award will be awarded: $100.00 to the Senior Department exhibitor who accumulates the highest number of points in the Home Arts Department. The Senior Department Exhibitor who accumulates the highest number of points in Fine Arts, Arts and Crafts, Floriculture and Photography Divisions will receive a $50.00 Cash Award.
     

  17. Decorations used in any building, barn or tent must be of flameproof material.
